Whilst we don’t have an official business centre, each cottage is equipped with complimentary 1GB of Wi-Fi (with additional available for purchase) and a mobile phone for guests use. If you need printing, faxing, photocopying or more, your on-site hosts will be too happy to assist.

We accept all major credit cards/debit cards, online transfers and cash. Depending on how you have booked your stay with us, you may have already paid prior to arrival, but if not your on-site hosts will assist with payment once you arrive.

Yes, we offer high-speed NBN satellite internet. Each cottage receives 1GB of complimentary Wi-Fi available for use on one device. If you need internet for other devices, and greater data, then vouchers are available to purchase from your on-site hosts.

Yes, we do have a Summer Kitchen that is available for use to all of our guests. It is fully equipped with BBQ facilities, on-site sink and picnic crockery and cutlery. It also has a dining table and lounge area for guests to relax and enjoy.

Yes. Each cottage has its own private in-house laundry with washing powder provided for a few dollars per use. Each cottage has a clothesline attached, and a drying rack on the private verandah.

No, Poinciana Cottages does not have a pool on site. Norfolk Island has many wonderful swimming beaches, with Emily Bay renowned for its wonderful calm and protected waters.

We recommend that all of our guests hire a car. Whilst we are within walking distance to the main town, and whilst our island may seem small (8km x 5km), we have lots of hills, very little footpaths and we don’t have public transport. Therefore we advise a hire car as the best way to see everything there is to see! We offer fantastic packages that include both accommodation and car hire, and we will greet you at the airport on arrival with your hire car.

There is lots to see and do all year round on Norfolk Island. We are lucky to enjoy a sub-tropical climate which means the temperature during winter is a pleasant 16 – 21 degrees during the day, and dips to around 12 degrees at night. During Summer we enjoy 19 – 28 degree days and nights. Our tours and activities run all year round, and we have some lovely events such as the Country Music Festival in May, and the NI TASTE Food Festival in November. We recommend two people per cottage in a deluxe king or deluxe twin king bedding arrangement.  We do have a fold out couch in the main living area to accommodate a third person, taking our maximum number of adults per cottage to 3 people.
